How did you make the reservation?: The casa directly

How much did you pay per night?: 30 pesos but I think they charge 35 in the busier season.

This is a beautiful Casa. Access is through a gate that opens into a common porch area that has four rocking chairs to sit in and is nicely decorated with several plants. There are two rooms for rent. When we were there both were unoccupied so we were offered our choice. The one is a single room with a bathroom and the other has a living room area, bedroom and bathroom. We stayed in the larger one. The living room area has a kitchen table, mini fridge, air conditioner and a single bed. The bedroom has a double bed, air conditioner and cable tv. The bathroom is off the bedroom and has toilet, sink and stand up shower. The apartment was very clean, nicely decorated and everything worked. The owners are very friendly and accommodating though they don't speak much English. They have two chihuahuas that are friendly but can be a little noisy in the morning. On our last morning I asked our host for breakfast. It was a last minute request but they whipped up an amazing meal with a full plate of fruit first consisting of pineapple, papaya, guava and banana. Then came two fried eggs with toast and a side of avacado and cucumber with olive oil and vinaigrette. To drink we had coffee and juice purée that was delicious. This casa is in a great location in Varadero. It is one block from the main street and is close to the super market, restaurants, bank and two blocks from the beach. It is very secure, I was given a key for the outside gate and one for our room. Our room also had a dead bolt and a chain. I would gladly stay here again.
