Casa Ana y Surama

My review: Surama is a great host. Not overbearing, very direct, good woman. House is incredibly clean and location is great. Balcony was nice to have, along with the private entrance and the air conditioning. We stayed 5 nights with her initially in Havana and at the end of our trip called her frantically from Trinidad to see if we could stay with her since we all other plans fell through. She took care of everything and organized our stay with her mother Ana in central Havana, which turned out to be our favorite casa. That saved us and we couldn't thank her enough!!!

My review: This casa has a great location which is within walking distance of all the sightseeing in Habana Vieja and Cendro. The breakfasts each day worth much more than the $5CUC they cost! The rooms are very pretty and are very comfortable too. The safes in the rooms are very reassuring, and are often hard to come by in casas in Cuba.
It would've been great if they had some more local recommendations for places to eat and see nearby.

How was your room?: Very comfortable. The balconys have a good view of street, which make them nice places to sit in in the early evening to watch the street life.
How was the food they offer?: Breakfasts were lovely and filling.

My review: Great casa, you couldn't do better. Nice breakfast, nice beds, very near to the Plaza Vieja.
Book it while you can!
Surama is a great host, and she will take care of you like a mother.

Casa Ana y Surama

My review: People, stay here. The place is simply incredible. Old decorated house in the cuban style. Wardrobe, bed, bathroom, table, all make you feel in old Cuba. The location is great, really close to some of the most important squares of the city. The host is lovely, helpful and makes you understand about how Cuban people feel about their current situation. Surama is smart and always eager to help.

How was your room?: Clean and spacious.

How was the food they offer?: They charge a 5 CUC fee for the breakfast. Totally worth, fruits, two eggs, bread, coffee.
