Casa Santa Maria

My review: I stayed in David & Martica's casa between 24-30 March 2016 with my partner and sister. The house is at a very good location, close to the beach, and also to restaurants; and there is a bus stop nearby where one can hop on the Varadero tourist bus. The owners and their family members were lovely, they went absolutely out of their way to make our stay comfortable. The house is very nice and clean, and it is equipped with air con and fans that were much needed during the hot nights! We asked for breakfast which was very filling - with bread, omelette, jams and butter, pastries and fresh fruit and delicious coffee of course:) There is a palm tree in the garden which provides a nice shade during the day, and one day we were even treated to fresh coconuts by the family which we loved very much! Overall we had a lovely time there and would go back anytime - thank you David and Martica!

Casa Santa Maria Varadero

My review: Nice and big casa very close by the sea with very friendly and caring hosts
The casa is really big and very clean. You can walk by foot to the beach and there are a lot of restaurants very close to the casa. The car can be parked inside a closed inner courtyard. There are palm trees in the nice private courtyard of the casa and you can sit there and relax.
How was your room?: The rooms are comfortable and very clean, the hosts clean every second day and bring fresh towels and bedlinen which are arranged nicely on the beds.

Hostal Santa Maria

My review: Very comfortable. Pruivate dwelling with 2 double bedrooms, living, and kitchen dining area. Breakfast served in dining area. Owners live in compound next door. Private locked entrance. 2 mins from beach. English spoken. Frriendly, very pleasant surroundings. Fairly close to restaurants and other attractions. MUCH better than the huge hotels.
How was your room?: Excellent mattress, best I had in two weeks in Cuba. Room for two in each bedroon. A/C
How was the food they offer?: Breakfast of fresh fruit, delicious Cuban coffee, omelette and bread, butter and jams. Excellent value for price.
Other services they offer: Helpful with information about anything on the peninsula.
Other comments: Highly recommend. Would go back there. The beach is so close and so beautiful.

My review: 60-ish couple stayed in David and Martica's home 6 days. This casa is airy, roomy, super clean and only a short walk to beach (beach towels available) and numerous restaurants and bars. Eve served wholesome,fresh breakfasts, delicious coffee-very pleasant sister of owner. Modern private bath-shower. 1 or 2 bedrooms available with air-con/fans. Private secure entrance with patio, clothes line, parking, old fish boat. Enjoyable,restful,restorative stay

How was your room?: Ample space for hanging clothes and storing cases. Firm comfortable queen bed plus twin bed. Open windows allowed for nightly breezes-shady during day. Sheets-towels changed every other day. Felt very safe.
How was the food they offer?: Home made breakfasts-fresh fruit/juice, cheeses, sliced ham, choice of eggs, flan, french toast--most delicious coffee. Large enough for snacks during the day. Excellent food and service.
Other services they offer: Will arrange taxi, did not ask if laundry service available.
